TIRED. Must be training again
Altitude Multisport Club's Sunday swims began a couple of weeks ago, and I have been running a couple of times a week. This week I did the Sunday swim, then a run on Wednesday, a 1:45 (ish) ride with Coach Charo yesterday and another run today - and I'm TIRED.
My brain is tired.
Have discovered a dramatic improvement in my sleep quality (using Sleep Cycle app on my phone) when I go to bed before 10:15 or so. Huge difference; it's amazing. Really useful information.
I suppose that I could, for example, go to bed at 9:00 and get up at 5:00 and do work in the morning instead of working until midnight and getting up at 7:00.
For now I'm focusing on getting to bed sooner.
One thing that I have noticed with better sleep is that I remember dreams much more vividly. Last night I dreamed that I took an hour off my Ironman time (and it wasn't that hard, either). The finish line was odd; Ironman had all of these checkpoints on the way to the finish line so one couldn't finish strong. Everyone was walking at the finish. Odd.
But I was telling people (in reference to my improved finish time) that of *course* I had had a good race; it was Wisconsin, after all.
